​Nature Reserve & Recreation Park of Luís Paulo Camacho

The place of Fazenda de Santa Cruz welcomes the Nature Reserve & Recreational Park of Luís Paulo Camacho, a park and woods at the same time that grew around the Aquaculture Farm of the island of Flores, which produces rainbow trout for the annual replenishing of the streams and lakes of the island.

Ornamental birds as ducks, geese, chickens, pheasants, turkeys and peacocks, as well as small exotic birds, can be found here. Bird watching lovers can observe several birds characteristic to the western group, as the common blackbird (Turdus merula azorensis), the goldcrest (Regulus regulus inermis), the common chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs moreletti), the grey wagtail (Motacilla cinerea patriciae) the Atlantic canary (Serinus canaria), and the blackcap (Sylvia atricapilla Atlantis); these species roam freely in the Reserve.
